The Wharenui is like a book. Certain people can read the carvings inside and
outside (It’s like pages to a book of history). Inside of the Wharenui there is
photographs of people that have passed away that were special to the tribe,
so they will never be forgotten.

The Wharenui is sometimes a meeting house where a lot of people have
special meetings. Sometimes it has special occasions like weddings and
birthdays. The Wharenui is also a place to go when you need help.
