The Dreamgiver & The Dinosaurs

The Video

ask: watch the video ‘Dream-giver.’  You then have to write a short story or piece of descriptive writing using this video as your inspiration.

The Dreamgiver & The
Dinosaurs
                                         By Porsha

On a silent night ,a pair of  fluttering wings flew through a little boys open
window. The figure was tall and looked to be an elderly fairy with rustic
steampunk goggles, carrying an ochre coloured sack filled with glowing
orbs. He examined his notebook and glanced at the boy, he was sure
he had the right place. He started tipping these mysterious coloured
orbs at the feet of the bed, Clunking noises were made when they
all rolled towards each other. The moonlight shines onto a small
astronaut book. The dream giver cracks an orb onto the book,
majical sparks flew all over the room. The little boy dreams of
floating peacefully  in space, with the stars. A smile grew onto
the little boys face. The dream giver cracked another orb and
poured it onto some baseball cards. Golden baseball players
were swinging their bats and watching the ball on the little boys
blanket. As the dream giver was getting ready to go to the next
house, an eggs rolled off the bed and landed on a history book….

It was the golden age, When Tyrannosaurus roamed the earth.
The little boy was confused and scared but he was still  curious.
He wasn't quite sure if it was a dream or not. He took a few steps
across the sand and noticed something in the corner of his eye.
There was a skeleton half buried in the sand! frightened he
screamed for help and ran as fast as he could. Massive silhouettes
of creatures were stomping towards him. He didn't know what to do,
or where to go. As the gigantic figures came closer the ground rumbled
and the little boy realised what they were. DINOSAURS!!!! He felt pounding
on the ground below him and bellowing noises were coming from every
angle. Sparks started to appear in front of him, and a pair of wings started
to fly out of the glitter…..It was the dream giver. He pointed his wand at
the dinosaurs and sparkling stars came out, glitter specks and dust was
circling the dinosaurs. Then the little boy woke up, it was all a……...dream.
The dream giver flutters off back into the night sky.

Packing My Bags For......

Packing Our Bag For The Bottom Of The Ocean
By Porsha & Olive                    Shot Baby Squid
Baby Squid is da bomb

WALT Develop our own poem in  (packing my bags for...By James Norcliffe. WALT  use an increasingly description vocabulary to add interest to our  writing. WALT have some fun and creative with ideas and imagination.

A Pair of colossal  transparent plastic bubbles,
razor-sharp pyramids coming off the back
to Scare Off Dangerous Carnivores,
emergency flippers attached for moving In the clear substance of water.

In case of a crisis

One  immeasurable heated sweater with intricate patterns on each sleeve.
Made out of captivating mohair flocculent wool.
With the finest salmon pigment,
with a hue of amaranthine On The back of the
cosy colossal sweater.

In case we get cold

A radiant light that can  help our oculus uterque see in the
obscure deep ocean.  It can attract small ghotti,
for a nutritious substance and
 detract all immense sea creatures.

In case we get scared

A steel 17.8 x 16.3 x 19.3 microwave that has the most
securest and safest lock,
in tones of graphite, shadow and pewter.
It has torrid plates on both sides and the bottom.
It can fry all the small ghoti that swims by.

In case we get hungry

And one baby squid.

In case we need company.

Collage Kiwi Google Drawing

We have been learning to make a collage on google drawing. We had to use the explore, mask and arrange tools to get our collage to come together. We had to make a NZ bird and put it into its natural habitat. It was a lot of fun and i am very pleased with my bird. Have you ever had a go at this?
