For this activity,we had select a charity that you are interested in.
On our blog, we had to write a short explanation of what the charity does.
I chose the SPCA.
The SPCA is a charity that helps animals that are sick,injured,abused or abandoned. Preventing animal cruelty is one of the many things the SPCA is trying to achieve. They state that every animal needs to receive the love and respect they deserve. The SPCA gives animals a safe environment to stay in and care for the animals needs until they can find a new home. The SPCA is willing to seek justice and have all animals in safe and happy home.

It is awesome to see you have made a start on the week one activities of the SLJ. You have written a great explanation about the SPCA. I can tell that you are someone that also cares about animals. Do you have any pets of your own? If not, would you like to have a pet one day? I like that you have provided justifications for why animals need to be helped and looked after. You have described some of key missions of the SPCA - well done! It would be nice to see some images and colour for your blog posts over the summer. Just remember for any images you borrow from the internet or others, you need to provide a link to where you borrowed them from. You are also welcome to draw your own pictures of use google draw if you like.

Kia Ora Leisha,I Have 2 Pets. I have one cat called capri, who is 9 years old and one puppy called oreo, that is 18 weeks. i went to the SPCA and had a look around. Thanks for commenting on my blog.

DeleteI love your pets name! Oreo is super cute for a puppy. Is your puppy black and white and is this why you named him Oreo? I also like the name Capri! It is a great name for a cat. My younger brothers have a grey cat with a very long name (because they couldn't just decide on one name). Her name is Cutie Molly Ninja Mortimer Griffin.

DeleteTēnā koe Porsha. It is great to see that you have started on the Summer Learning Journey activities. I liked reading your description of the SPCA. They are such a grea organisation. I too love animals and think it is so important that they are treated kindly. I loved meeting your dog Oreo at our Pet Day on Monday. You have a very cute puppy and I am sure that you and your family look after your dog very well. I also agree that it would be nice to have some images with your work. I look forward to seeing some more of your Summer Learning Journey work.
