Summer Learning Journey: Day 1 Activity: 1

For this activity, make a list of ten food items
that you could take with you. Please think
carefully about what you will take as you won’t
have access to a refrigerator or freezer while at
sea. Please explain why you would select each item.


Ultra-heat-treated milk: its protein and it's a good source
of liquid                      
Coconuts: You Eat the coconuts and you drink
coconut milk


Water: You Need it to live                                    
Gram Crackers:  Good for pairing with salami and other meals                                
Cans Of Fish: Its a protein meal
Anzac Wafers: Last for Long period of time
Smoked Salami: For a meat
Muesli: Snack Food and gives you energy

Dehydrated Fruits: For healthy meal
Rice: It Fills u up and it lasts

    How are you today? I hope you are enjoying your holidays.

    I am very impressed with your list of food items you would take on a three week sea voyage. I like that you have thought about taking coconuts because it has versatile uses with both the edible flesh and coconut water you can also drink. Plus they should last a while. I hope that you thought of a way to cut into the coconut as I know they can be very tricky to get open. You have been really thoughtful with your choices, thinking about what they would be good for (energy, lasts a long time etc) and thank you for providing your reasons for each. Well done :)

    I just wanted to let you know that this will be my last post to you today as I will be on holiday for the next 2 weeks. I will be back commenting on the 6th of January and I am already looking forward to reading what amazing posts you share over the time I am away. I hope you have a wonderful holiday break.
